Release Note Details

Three new options have been made available on the transfer option on Pending Jobs:

  • Responsibility Code
  • Requisitions - Raised For
  • Parts Required On

Note that the Requisitions - Raised For or Parts Required On may not appear on your system as these would be dependant on how your system is configured.

Responsibility Code

By default, work orders that are created from a batch of Pending Jobs are created using the responsibility code that has been assigned to the batch. This option will default to that value but allows you to change it so that the Work Order Originator can be to another person.

Requisitions - Raised For

This option is for those who automatically create requisitions from a batch of Pending Jobs. By default, the requisitions are created under the person logged in. This option allows you to be a proxy and create the requisitions for someone else.

Parts Required On

This option is for those who automatically create picking slips or requisitions from a batch of Pending Jobs. It gives you some flexibility in when parts are required for the work orders created. By default, most parts are created using the schedule date of the work order as the parts required date. In some instances where requisitions are being created the lead time specified on the standard jobs are also taken into consideration.

The option has two values Schedule Offset or a Set Required Date but you can only enter a value against one.

The Schedule Offset works in the same manner as lead times do on standard job. For example if you entered a value of 10 then the parts will be required 10 days before the work order scheduled date. This is applicable to both picking slips and requisitions. Also note that if the standard job used to create the requisitions had lead times then this would be added to the 10 days extending the date further.

The Set Required Date is a static date that will ignore the work order scheduled date and make the picking slips and requisitions due on the date supplied. An important thing to note is that this date does not affect 1st and 2nd warning work orders. These will use the work order scheduled date.
